About Us

In 1967, William and June McGourley purchased 130 acres of land in the New Jersey Pine Barrens with the hopes of creating a campground they could operate and enjoy while raising their six children.

This land is now known as Timberline Lake Camping Resort and since that time, the campground has grown to have 185 shaded and wooded sites. boasts a lake with beach, swimming pool, basketball court, general store and more. It caters to both its weekend campers and seasonal campers with an array of activities and events to please every age.

Many of the seasonal campers have camped here since its beginning, some as children, and have returned year after year with their own children and the hopes that new fond memories will be created.

Timberline Lake is still owned and operated by the McGourley Family.
